##################################### ### Re-reduced HST Imaging in EGS ### ##################################### We provide re-reduced mosaics of the CANDELS/EGS field in 6 HST filters, all pixel aligned on a 0.03"/pixel scale with improved absolute astrometry tied to Gaia-EDR3. ############ ## Summary Instruments: HST/ACS and HST/WFC3 Mode: Imaging Target: CANDELS/EGS Filters: ACS/WFC F606W, F814W; WFC3/IR F105W, F125W, F140W, F160W Reduction and calibration: See Koekemoer et al. (2011, ApJS, 197, 36); absolute astrometry tied to Gaia-EDR3 Contact: Anton Koekemoer (koekemoer@stsci.edu) ############# ### Mosaics These mosaics have been produced following similar procedures to those described in Koekemoer et al. (2011, ApJS, 197, 36), in particular incorporating improvements in calibration and astrometry beyond those available from the default HST archive pipeline products. The absolute astrometric frame for these mosaics is Gaia-EDR3, and all the mosaics are pixel aligned to each other on this astrometric frame to a precision of a few milliarcseconds. The mosaics combine data in 6 filters (ACS/WFC F606W, F814W and WFC3/IR F105W, F125W, F140W, F160W) from a total of 1,767 exposures, obtained from eight different HST programs (10134, 12063, 12099, 12167, 12177, 12547, 13063, 13792), with all the mosaics at a pixel scale of 30 milliarcseconds/ pixel. For any projects that make use of these mosaics or products derived from them, please cite Koekemoer et al. (2011, ApJS, 197, 36) The mosaics are called egs_all_[instrument]_[filter]_030mas_v1.9_[type].fits, where instrument is either acs_wfc or wfc3_ir; filter is one of f606w, f814w, f105w, f125w, f140w, and f160w; and type is drz - the science image in units of e/s wht - the weight map (inverse variance) rms - the RMS map (which is free from correlated noise) The FITS files are each ~8 GB. Gzipped versions of each file are also available and range in size from a few 100 MB to ~5-6GB.
