Dear Matt, 
the specimens have arrived, they have arrived only today, but safely. In 
the meantime, probably they reproduce.. no, I'm joking, I mean that I 
found 4 specimens instead of three, with a vial including 2 specimens.
Anyway, I checked them, and they are all representives of a single species 
of Strigamia, which has been already recorded in Alaska. Actually, the 
taxonomy of this genus is still a mess, but that species should be called 
either S. branneri or S. chionophila. For taxonomic details, type their

If you or your colleagues are going to collect other centipedes, I 
recommend to keep them in Ethanol 60-70°, not in Absolute Ethanol. 
Otherwise they become fragile, they remain curled, and it is very hard to 
examine them.
I'm going to send back the specimens next week.
